This ghost date example was awarded to “936 PTE P DOWD, 1ST CONNAUGHT RANG” Bearing the five clasps “Cape Colony”, “Tugela Heights”, “Orange Free State”, “Relief of Ladysmith”, “Transvaal”. I believe this has an official correction to naming. See Photographs.

936 Peter Down is confirmed on the QSA Medal roll with the 1st Bn and award of the five clasps, he was also awarded the South Africa 1901 clasp. He is also shown serving later with the 5th Bn.
