This example was awarded to "1083 Pte W Smith Devon R". Complete with original ribbon, forwarding box, envelope for medal and a wedding invitation indicating the recipient came from Dartmouth.
Private William Smith was awarded the BWM & VM. He enlisted 7th August 1914 and was discharged in January 1919 having been awarded a Silver War Badge.
