WW1 Royal Artillery 4th Division Badged Other Ranks 1902 Pattern Tunic

SOLD

Code: 18694

WW1 Royal Artillery 4th Division Badged Other Rank’s 1902 Pattern Tunic.

An outstanding example, retaining original Battle Insignia for the 4th Division which served throughout the Great War. This example was worn by a Staff Sergeant of the Royal Artillery Headquarters staff. The tunic is tailored to each shoulder with brass “RA” titles (This is correct for the period to indicates Other Rank’s serving with the HQ Staff, not with RFA or RGA Batteries), brass RA buttons. To each sleeve purple 4th Division Rams head silhouette and Staff Sergeant rank. The right cuff with the addition of one red (1914) and four blue overseas service chevrons. The 1902 servicedress tunic is of the regulation pattern, with two pleats to the collar, no lining to the collar or reverse of the pocket flaps. The interior retains part of the original paper label with the date 1918. The first field dressing pocket has been opened by the original owner. The tunic is moth free and remains in super untouched sleepy condition.
Approx size armpit to armpit 20 inches.

PLEASE NOTE SOLD AS A HISTORICAL COLLECTORS ITEM ONLY AND NOT SUITABLE FOR WEARING OR RE-ENACTMENT.
