Code: 18692

WW1 York & Lans Regiment 1917 Dated British Other Rank’s Tunic Economy Buttons.

A rare example made in Stockport 1917 and retaining the original economy pressed leather General Service buttons. The 1902 servicdress tunic is of the regulation pattern, with two pleats to the collar, no lining to the collar or reverse of the pocket flaps. To each shoulder brass “Y&L” brass title and to the right cuff three blue overseas service chevrons. The interior retaining paper label dated 1917 indicating a chest size of 38-39 inches. Height 5ft 8-5ft 9. The tunic is a good colour but now with some overall scattered moth holes. Still remains a good display item.. Evidence of possible collar badges having been worn, possible pioneer or machine guns.

This is a rare good size example and only the second example I have handled retaining original leather economy buttons.

PLEASE NOTE SOLD AS A HISTORICAL COLLECTORS ITEM ONLY AND NOT SUITABLE FOR WEARING OR RE-ENACTMENT.
