Awarded to “3894 PTE H. SMITH 2: YORKS: LT INFY”. Bearing the four clasps “Belmont”, “Modder River”, “Transvaal”, “Wittebergen”. Impressed naming, ghost dates to the reverse.
Private Smith is confirmed as receiving the QSA with four clasps, the Medal Roll shows he died of disease. This occurred on the 22nd June 1901 at Pretoria.
