WW1 1/18th (London Irish) POW Group of Medals.

Awarded to Rifleman Thomas Murray who was taken POW in May 1918. Comprising:

British War Medal, Victory Medal, “20964 PTE T. MURRAY 18-LOND R”. … Accompanied by the King’s message for returning Prisoners of War, this with original envelope with hand written details “21718 Rifle Murray 1/18 London.”. Also 29 Camp HQ”. .. Also a 1943 ID card for Mr Thomas S Murray.

The Medal Index Card, shows entitled to the pair only and also served with the Royal Irish Rifles.  Rifleman T Murray was reported missing on the 23rd May 1918 and was reported as a released POW on the 12th December 1918.
