WW2 ATA Pattern Lewis Flying Helmet.

A rare original black leather flying helmet made by Lewis of London. Retaining original gosport tubes. The overall condition is good, leather retains a good colour and supple. Chrome furniture now with light surface rust to parts.

This pattern of flying helmet was popular during the 1930’s and is often seen used by pilots of the Air Transport Auxiliary during WW2.
