Flying Officer C.P. Garner-Richards joined the RAF in February 1942 and after training in Canada qualified as a Navigator. He returned to the UK and was posted to 358 Squadron Far East. This Squadron operated the Liberator bomber and was used for supply drops, dropping of agents behind Japanese lines etc. One item of paperwork confirms 358 Squadron and shows he was serving with the unit in July 1945.
