WW1 RFC RNAS Incendiary Flechette Aerial Dart.
A very rare example, steel weight point, with copper tube to accommodate an inflammable substance. The dart is now safe. Overall length 6 inches. The rarest of the patterns of Aerial Darts.
I have not been able to confirm, but I was told many years ago, by a RFC pilot he used this type of dart against Zeppelins.
