Boer War Imperial Yeomanry, Mounted Infantry Slouch Hat.
A superb and classic example of the Boer War slouch hat, tailored from light brown felt, retaining original pagari and thin leather chinstrap. Tailored with a double row of vent holes typical of the Boer War period. The interior with original brown leather sweatband with tailor’s blind tooled details of Vero & Everrett Ltd Army Contractors. Also to the interior faint name of original owner. The press studs stamped “Dents Spring Button Patent”. VGC for age and type, little dusty.
