WW2 Hexham Northumberland Home Front White Civil Defence Helmet.
A good clean example of the “Tommy” pattern helmet retaining original white painted finish to the exterior. The inside shell painted black. Complete with 1940 dated liner and original chinstrap.

The 1939 UK register only shows one man of this name, Mr Ian B Milne born in 1913 and employed as a Coal Exporters Clerk, living at 2 The Terrace Hexham Northumberland.
