Trooper Victor Henry Short was the Licensed victuar of the Three Horse Shoes pub at Eton Wick, close to Windsor. He enlisted on the 9th December 1915 into the 2nd Life Guards, before transferring to the Guards Machine Gun Regiment in May 1918. His name appeared in the Casualty list of November 1918 as wounded, this is believed to be a Gas Shell wound noted on the the 19th October 1918. He was released from the Army in February 1919 with a disability. He is entitled to the Pair Only.
