The silver vested case is engraved to the obverse “ANSTY WAR MEMORIAL 1914-1918 LEST WE FORGET”. The reverse “PTE O VEASEY” Stamped with silver hallmarks Chester 1919. GC.

I have attributed this vesta as been presented to Private Oliver Foster Veasey, who served with the Worcestershire Regiment and earned the British War Medal and Victory Medal. The 921 UK national Census shows his birth place as Ansty and living at Shilton, Ansty
