WW1 US 1st Infantry Division Brodie Helmet. Personalized
This is an American made Brodie helmet retaining original sand green painted finish with the badge of “The Big Red 1” to the front. The interior of the shell with period inscription
“Cantigny - Mesnil St Georges - on to Germany”
The lining is absent and leather chinstrap remains (Damaged).
Overall a good original seen combat in France example.
In April 1918 the Division took part and secured their first victory of the war at Cantigny.
