Boer War Army Service Corps Officer’s Medals.

Awarded to Captain A Amey of the Army Service Corps.
Comprising: Queens South Africa Medal (ghost dates) with three clasps  "Natal”, “Orange Free State”, “Belfast”. , King’s South Africa Medal with clasps "South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902". Both medals are with the rank “Capt” and are engraved in the correct officer style.

After passing out of Sandhurst he was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Irish Fusiliers on the 17 January 1891 and later transferried to the Army Service Corps in April. He was promoted to Lieutenant in March 1893 and then Captain in 1899. Serving in the Boer War with the 37th Company ASC he was awarded the QSA & KSA (Clasps confirmed). In January 1906 he promoted to the rank of Major.  His name does not seem to appear in the Officer Lists for the Great War.
