WW1 Scottish Womens Land Army Felt Cloth Overall Coat Badge.
A very rare original First World War period ‘Scottish Womens Land.Army large circular green felt badge, red embroidered crown within a padded cream felt circlet bearing the title in red embroidered thread, the reverse with black wax cotton hessian lining. Very good condition, colours remain bright. VGC.
I acquired this badge contained within a green leather and silk & velvet lined box. The lid with the family crest of the Sutherland clan. I have kept them together.

It is more common to find this badge with the title L.A.A.S indicating given by the Land Army Agricultural Section. This is the first example I have seen with the Scottish title.
