WW1 British Army Officer’s Cuff Rank Tunic For Restoration.
This is an original period example of the Cuff Rank Tunic as worn by a Captain. Tailored in “Trench Weight” material, to each cuff can been seen where the lace and stars of a Captain have been removed. Collar badges and medal ribbon and cloth badge to the right arm have been worn. The interior retaining cotton lining.
The tunic with some moth damage, see photographs. Now with Gloucestershire Regiment buttons, which I believe are replacements. There is no evidence of rank stars having been worn to the shoulder straps.
An ideal Restoration project.
Approx length armpit to armpit 19 inches.
