WW2 RAF Attributed 1st Pattern D Type Flying Helmet.
A rare example of the canvass flying helmet tailored for an external wiring loom and can accommodate the D Type canvass mask as well as the E, F and G Masks. The interior silk lining with the name “E F Sutton” and ink stamp indicating Size 7 1/2. The rubber ear cups are very good and supple the helmet with service and storage wear.
