WW2 Home Front Winston Churchill Jacqmar Propaganda Scarf

A rare early WW2 example overprinted on rayon with various illustrations of Winston Churchill and famous extracts from his inspirational wartime speeches. The scarf with a wide red border around the edges with printed inscription in white which reads: 'We shall fight on the seas and oceans. We shall fight with growing strength and confidence in the air. We shall defend our island whatever the cost may be'. In the centre is a large portrait of Churchill on Union flag backdrop, surrounded by numerous different illustrations all featuring Churchill and interwoven with white ribbons bearing more Churchill quotes, Churchill is depicted with aircraft overhead, at sea with the Navy, on land with the Army and standing alone in front of Westminster. Colours remain bright and fresh. One small area of damage. See picture.
