Private Inwood, was serving with the 5th Bn Northamptonshire Regiment when he was reported missing on the 28th April 1943 in North Africa. He was later confirmed a POW in Italy and in 1945 listed as POW No. 8877 Stalag 18a, Wolfsberg (Karnten) .
