WW1 Superb British Army Issue Brodie Steel Helmet.
An outstanding example of the pattern of Brodie steel helmet issued to British troops after 1917. The shell retains original green painted rough textured finish. To the interior oilcloth lining with pink Brodie stamp to the reverse. To the crown of the interior original felt padding covering the rubber ring. Complete with original leather chinstrap. The shel is stamped FS indicating the steel produced by Thomas Firth & Sons Ltd of Sheffield who supplied steel from 1916 through to 1918.
This is one of the best examples of a Great War British helmet I have handled.
