WW1 Seaforth Highlanders Attributed Quilted Spine Pad & Medals.

An extremely rare and unusual variation worn by Private George Harrison who served with the 1st Bn.
The spin pad is made of quilted cotton, with neck collar and string waist band. The width of the pad is 5 inches. Retains pencil inscription made by Harrison.  Small amount of service and storage wear, otherwise near VGC.
The pad is accompanied by British War Medal and Victory Medal “S-11230 PTE G HARRISON SEA. HIGHRS” These are complete with original ribbons and boxes of issue. Complimented by an original postcard photograph of Private Harrison.

Private George Harrison is confirmed as serving overseas after the 1st January 1916. He is noted in February 1919 as suffering from Pleurisy being transferred from Beirut to Alexandria onboard the Hospital Ship Assaye.
