Stoker 1st Class Frederick Thomas Holness from Dulwich London joined the Royal Navy in 1910. His first ship was HMS Lord Nelson. He served throughout the Great War on various ships and shore establishments including HMS Flying Fish. He last ship being HMS Birmingham in 1922.
