A most unusual example of the British War Medal awarded to 38890 GNR F.T. LIGHT RA. who is noted as committing suicide at Port Royal Jamaica in September 1914. Retaining original silk ribbon. Single Entitlement
Gunner Frank Terry Light Royal Garrison Artillery at the outbreak of the Great War was serving with the 66th Coy RGA at Port Royal Jamaica as a motor driver. On the 28 September 1914 whilst on active service he committed suicide. His medal Index card confirms this and the single BWM entitlement. Soldiers Died in the Great War records officially Died.
His family was refused a pension
