WW1 Pattern Royal Flying Corps RFC Early RAF Flying Coat

A good example of the heavy weight light brown Officer private purchase flying coat. The light brown leather typical of the colour used by both the RFC and early RAF. Tailored double breasted with waist pockets. The interior with 1/4 cotton and 3/4 heavy wool blanket lining. Complete with loose waistbelt, but the buckle is now absent and needs replacing. The overall condition is good the colour is good and the leather supple. There is some fading in parts to the exterior colour. One small rip front lower flap and stitching faults to the collar. Otherwise a Good display item and typical of the type.
