WW1 Pattern Flying Helmet.
An example of a private purchase flying / motoring helmet typical of the pattern worn by pilots of the RFC, RNAS and early RAF. This example tailored with a neck flap and ear flaps. The press studs are of the open pattern associated with the Great War Period. The helmet with heavy wear, chinstrap replaced, all studs are present, but the stud to the underside of the peak part pulled, but still attached. Good size.
