WW1 Original Christmas 1914 Princess Mary Pencil Attributed HMS Kent.
The brass case engraved with Princess Mary's Cypher, complete with “sterling silver” bullet head and complete with lead pencil. The brass case is engraved with the crest of HMS Kent also “G.W. Flinders HMS Kent 1914-15-16” Very good condition, no dents splits or cracks.
Able Seaman William George Flinders enlisted into the Royal navy in 1907 and transferred to the RNR in 1912. Recalled at the outbreak of the Great War he was posted to HMS Kent a Monmouth-class armoured cruiser in October 1914. He would remain with the ship until June 1918.
