A now hard to find set with envelope and boxes, awarded to Second Lieutenant Frank Algar. Comprising: British War Medal, Victory Medal “2 LIEUT F ALGAR”. These are complete with original ribbons, boxes of issue and forwarding envelope with an Exeter Devonshire address. VGC.
Second Lieutenant Frank Algar served in the ranks of the Devonshire Regiment before he was commissioned into the Machine Gun Corps January 1918. He landed in France during March 1918.
