Private Frank Butler was a native of Hartley Wintney Hampshire, and in 1915 was serving with the 2nd Battalion Hampshire Regiment that landed at Gallipoli on the 15th June 1915. He was killed in action on the 29th June 1915 and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial.
