WW1 DCLI Cornwall “Cor Blimey” Officer’s Trench Cap.
A rare and very good original example worn by an Officer of the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry. The cap is tailored with fold down neck flap and double cloth and correct period leather chinstrap. To the front an Officer’s bronze DCLI cap badge on blades. The interior with cotton lining and leather sweatband. The cap is with a few small moth nips to the peak and now with stitching faults to the leather sweatband, otherwise a superb clean example.
PLEASE NOTE. This is a superb original Great War Period Example.
