WW1 British Brodie Steel Helmet Original Trench Cloth Cover.
A very rare and sleepy example of the Great War British Brodie B pattern helmet retaining the original two piece cotton cover. The cover appears to have been never removed from the helmet, with areas of staining and a small area of rust damage to the rear. The inside complete with old cloth lining, this with the early style black ink oval stamp of Brodie. Felt panel and ring to the crown. The chinstrap is present but the leather is dry to parts and broken. The shell is stamped with the makers code of “FKS 1” indicating Thomas Firth & Sons of Sheffield Circa 1916-1918.
A super sleepy example, a typical being there example.
