WW1 Battle of the Somme Period Brodie Steel Helmet Circa 1916.
A superb and rare example of an “A” Pattern Brodie helmet, retaining original 1st pattern oil cloth lining. The interior shell retaining some of the original early light green painted finish. The exterior of the shell with field painted sand green finish and with two large Battalion, Red diamonds, these to each side. The helmet remains in original dusty untouched condition, chinstrap absent.
