WW1 1918 Scottish Rifles Attributed  Other Rank's Wolseley Pattern Foreign Service Helmet

A very good example worn by RSM J.E. Dunn MSM of the 11th BN Scottish Rifles. The issue pattern "Sun" Helmet retains original thick pagr to the left side a Regimental Tartan Diamond Flash.The interior with leather sweatband and the full green cloth lining retains original 1918 paper label. The lining stamped with the number "16869". Complete with leather chinstrap. No damage to cork.

RSM John Ernest Dunn MSM landed in France with the 11th Bn on the 20th September 1915, the Battalion one month later was sent to Egypt and remained here throughout the war. For his services he was awarded the MSM LG 26th April 1917.
