A small section of shrapnel 5cm, retaining old ink label “Shrapnel form part of Tripland 1916”. Good original condition.

This item is from the family estate of the Colonel R.E.B. Crompton a notable pioneer of electrical engineering who had Triplands a family mansion built in Kensington London. The shrapnel is probably from a bomb dropped during the German zeppelin raids of 1916
