The obverse depicting an upright trident with crossed 'Union and White Ensign Flags' on the cross a shield inscribed "31 May 1916" to the surround the legend "TO THE GLORIOUS MEMORY OF THOSE WHO FELL THAT DAY"; the reverse with inscription within an oak wreath "MAY 31, 1916 THE GERMAN FLEET ATTACKED OFF THE COAST OF JUTLAND AND DRIVEN BACK INTO PORT WITH HEAVY LOSS.
