WW1 18th (Batams) Bn Lancashire Fusiliers Memorial Plaque.

This plaque was awarded to Private Charles Edward Gosney  who originally enlisted into the 18th Bn Lancashire Fusiliers, before transferring into the 187th Company  Labour Corps. He died of wounds on the 9th August 1917 whilst attached to the Labour Corps.

Comprising: Memorial Plaque CHARLES EDWARD GOSNEY. Original memorial scroll showing the Regiment as Labour Corps.   Accompanied by a photograph of a Private in the Manchester Regiment, with ink details to the reverse.

I have not been able to confirm that Charles served with the Manchester Regiment, however the address to the reverse of the photograph is the same home town, possibly a family member.
