Identified in John Waring Pamphlet number 2 Item D196. Acquired with the Officer’s Collar Dog. The 13th Bn Yorkshire Regiment was raised as a Bantam Battalion at Richmond in July 1915. They landed in France on the 6th June 1916. They served in France until 1918 and after a period in the UK sailed for service in Russia.
