This brass example embossed with the Regimental Badge and stamped details "3181 j. read". GC. Private John Read enlisted on the 26th June 1891, he saw service pin the East Indies and was posted to South Africa from the 4th November 1899 until the 6th September 1902. He left the army in 1903.
