Victorian Ambrotype Photograph Rifle Volunteer Soldier.
An interesting example of a Rifle Volunteer Sergeant, seated half length Circa 1870. He wears a Rifle tunic with black leather cross belt with badge, his waistbelt clasp depicts a standing bird. The image has now lost its leather case but retains to the brass tin edging, little loose. Some small amounts of black paint loss to the reverse, but with set against a solid colour hard to see. Image is clear.
