A very rare pair of toothpicks / hair pins. One depicting the head and shoulders of Revolutionary wearing bicorn hat and with red and blue painted decoration. The other depicts a lady wearing a crown, again with red and white painted decoration. Good carved detail to the bone and colours remain fresh. Approx length 4 inches.

This style of carving and painted decoration is typical of French Napoleonic POW carved decoration a similar style can often be found to the figureheads of larger POW sailing ships.
