Cold War Period Airborne Forces Military Police Helmet Superb Condition.
This is the best condition example I have handled.
A WW2 pattern helmet with web harness the interior with a 1956 leather lining, with the original owners service number and name.“23542425 L Cpl Evans”
The shell retains the original green painted finish as originally issued and is with the additionally painted detail indicating a Sergeant of the Military Police. This painting is also fresh, but looking at the overall near unissued condition I believe it to be contemporary to the issue and military use of the helmet and not a later addition.
An outstanding example.
The British army service number would indicate an May 1956 to October 1960 enlistment. A number of RMP units served with various Airborne units.
