A scarce example in the form of a die-cast bronzed motor car wheel and tyre, the voided centre bearing crossed spanners each with a raised letter 'MTTC' with motto scroll below 'Pro Patria'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings.

The 'Mechanised Transport Training Corps' MTTC was formed in Feb 1939 as a women's voluntary civilian organisation. It was recognised by the Ministry of War Transport in 1940 and renamed the 'Mechanised Transport Corps' MTC, and its members were conscripted and received pay.
