This log records the flights of 2Lt Alan Cogill Muirhead. The first flight taking place on the 26th April 1918. After on 2hours and 20 minutes flying on the 14th May 1918 he appears to have been washed out as a pilot. The exterior of the log is in good clean condition, however a child appears to have used to log as a scribble pad with a pencil and one back page has been cut.
The log is accompanied by a superb postcard original photograph of Muirhead in flying coat next to his aircraft, take at Acton aerodrome.

2Lt Alan Cogill Muirhead had previously served with RGA before transferring to the RFC in January 1918. Posted to Acton to start pilot training. After 2 hours and 20 mins he was washed out as a pilot. After various postings he was placed on the unemployment list in February 1919.
